Our shared good deeds in March

Spring brings hope, and with it comes an even greater desire to feel that there are people around us who are ready to offer support.

For parents of premature babies, care means more than just the items that help during the first days of life. It also means attention, access to useful information, the opportunity to meet people who understand, and the reassurance that they are not alone.

In March, we continued to create this supportive space for babies, their parents, and everyone who wants to be there for them.

This month was made possible thanks to everyone who stood by our side:

• those who supported us with donations;

• those who signed up to become monthly supporters;

• those who knitted and sewed;

• those who came to our meetings and helped organize events;

• those who represented the foundation at charity fairs;

• those who shared our posts and publications;

• and those who were simply there for us.

Create: 564 items for babies and hospitals
Purchase: 20 skeins of yarn for new care sets

What happened in March

• We took part in the mid.lv charity fair;

• We visited the International Women's Club of Riga and received yarn as a gift;

• We prepared 50 gifts for mothers and delivered them to BKUS;

• We held a workshop on making large plush octopuses;

• For the first time, we sent care sets to Valmiera Hospital — 16 sets containing a total of 96 items;

• We received a gift of yarn from Klippan Saule;

• We delivered 25 care sets to Stradiņi Hospital, containing a total of 151 items;

• We held a charity lecture at the Fairy Home, led by a physiotherapist and a laboratory physician. Thanks to this event, we raised enough funds for 15 care sets;

• We met with our Fairies and held a knitting workshop for baby hats. The gathering brought together 16 Fairies;

• We organized a lecture on reselling pre-loved items and raised funds for one shelf;

• We hosted a complimentary lecture by O. Kangizere on the trends of 2026.

Our community of monthly supporters continues to grow. In March, two new Fairies joined us: Valērija, our Fairy of Faith, and Natālija, our Fairy of Hope.
