Our Shared Acts of Kindness in April

Spring reminds us of new life, first steps, and little victories that, over time, become big milestones.

For babies born prematurely, warmth, care, and attention are especially important from the very first days of life. Tiny socks, a soft little cardigan, a thoughtfully prepared care set — behind every item are someone’s hands, time, and a heartfelt desire to help.

In April, we continued to bring this warmth to babies and their families, while our acts of kindness brought together more and more people and communities across Latvia.

Thank you to everyone who supports our foundation through donations and monthly contributions, knits and sews, joins our gatherings, helps at charity fairs, and tells others about our work.

Together, thanks to you, we were able to:

Create: 896 items for babies and hospitals

Purchase: 25 skeins of yarn for new care sets

What happened in April:

• We held our second coordinators’ meeting;

• We sent two boxes of size L knitted sets to Liepāja Hospital, containing 225 items;

• We introduced the participants of a women’s padel tournament to the work of our foundation;

• We took part with a charity stand at the MID.lv event in Daugavpils;

• We delivered 20 pairs of socks for mothers at Liepāja Hospital;

• We met with our Fairies for a crochet workshop on making kimono-style baby cardigans. The gathering brought together 20 Fairies;

• We took part in a charity fair on Rīgas Street in Daugavpils;

• We held a creative gathering where children drew octopuses for our merchandise.

Our community of monthly supporters continues to grow. In April, Viktoria, Olesya, and Ekaterina joined our Faith Fairies.
